Once in a while, a project presents itself to you that fills your heart so full of gratitude and pure joy. The Vets to Go along with The Mustard Seed Pet Wellness Clinic was that project for me and thank goodness they let lil ol’ me be a part of it. I had seen a Facebook post from V2G about the upcoming clinic asking for donations, I immediately contacted them to offer my services to document the day and give out printed photographs to the people who stopped by for the clinic, V2G even provide me with an onsite printer – AMAZING!
Working with V2G was amazing, their staff went above and beyond for the clients and their beloved fur babies. You could see the care and attention that they gave to every being in the space that The Mustard Seed provided them. Bags of food and treats were given to pet owners, along with free veterinary care.
Brad and his beloved dog Honey (a Staffordshire-lab cross) left Winnipeg where bully breeds are banned in search for a forever home that didn’t have breed specific legislation. Surrendering or adopting out his dog was not an option for Brad, even if that meant spending some time on the streets while looking for dog friendly accommodation. That right there, is a bond truer than some will feel in a lifetime. As it turns out Honey has a damaged tooth that needs to be operated on, an operation that V2G is graciously removing that tooth at no cost to Brad.
This day had me on cloud 9 for the whole week, the looks on peoples faces when they got pictures of their beloved companions, the gratitude they had for V2G for the free veterinary care, the abundance of love that was exuded that day was almost overwhelming. This is what makes my heart full.
