I don’t do weddings. I’ve never shot a wedding, I never want to shoot a wedding. Things I’ve been notoriously known for saying. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE weddings. The tears, the ugly crying, the decoration and *cue swoon here* oh the dress (and the shoes that go with the dress)!
Fear is a debilitating; I’ll admit it, shout it from the roof tops – I’m afraid of something going wrong on my end. Missing that first look between a bride and groom, losing a memory card, running out of batteries, lighting… oh god the lighting. Because there are no retakes after the big day is finished and there’s only so much that Photoshop can do.
I’m so very glad that my friend Maddy at Twisted Lime had faith in me, and motivated me to shoot Claudia and John’s wedding. I could not have asked for a better couple to give my wedding cherry to. Their day was so full of laughs it was ridiculous, it was not hard to relax with these two… well we’ll let the pictures tell the story. Thank you so much Claudia and John for not only letting me document these special moments, but for letting me force you into making out like teenagers while one of you had the flu.
